From a couple of hours to a full day, the Columbus Zoo can accommodate any visitor’s schedule. 

As the state capital of Ohio, Columbus is rich in culture, history and art, with a number of museums and public art throughout the city. A few minutes from downtown, the Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens combine nature and art into a stunning attraction.  Open daily, the tropical collections and exotic species transform the greenhouses into nature’s art museum. When nature’s art fills you up, drive a few minutes east and delve into the manmade art found inside the halls of the Columbus Museum of Art. Newly renovated, the Columbus Museum of Art houses some of the famous artists of all time, such as Picasso, Sirak, and George Bellows.

Stay out late after a day of sightseeing and enjoy one of the best cultural scenes in the United States. With live music, concerts and theaters, there are plenty of things to do at night in Columbus, Ohio. Walk around the Short North Arts District as local artists display their newest pieces, or jump into one of the growing number of late night restaurants. Columbus is filled with great attractions and some of the largest draws to Columbus are the sports played in and around the city. Ohio State University, one of the most successful schools in the NCAA, is only a few minutes north of Downtown Columbus. Catch a college football game in the “Horseshoe” with over one-hundred thousand fans or visit the United States’ first soccer specific arena, MAPFRE Stadium, as the Columbus Crew of Major League Soccer competes against world class players. With so many sports in Columbus, there is almost a game every week.
