The oldest continually operating stained glass studio sits in the heart of downtown Middletown, the Beauverre Riordan Stained Glass Studio. As well as Middletown, Hamilton has an amazing arts reputation. One trip to the Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park and Museum is all it takes for your artistic side to be permanently inspired! Throughout this 40-acre park lie magnificent outdoor sculpture art as well as the Museum of Ancient Sculpture.

History

Butler County is rich with historical landmarks, sculptures, museums, and community districts. The Canal Museum in Middletown lies on the former route of the Miami-Erie Canal and showcases displays of the canal and early industry of Middletown. The Soldiers, Sailors, and Pioneers Monument in Hamilton sits on the site of Fort Hamilton and prominently displays a 17-foot Civil War Solider proclaiming victory on the top of this monumental structure. In Oxford, the Freedom Summer 1964 Memorial on the Western College Historic District of Miami University commemorates the civil rights workers who were trained at Miami University in 1964.

Butler County, Ohio is located in Southwest Ohio just north of Cincinnati and south of Dayton. Whether you're driving or flying, it's easy to get to The BC! We're less than half a day's car ride or a just a 2-hour flight from 60% of the population.
If you're flying, we are close to two international airports, Cincinnati Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) and Dayton International Airport (DAY).  If you're driving The BC is conveniently located next to I-75 making it easy for you to get to Butler County!
